OUR HISTORY

It all started in July 2004 when Hylyn Cabico and Meshiel Ilagan, new migrants in California, were visited and prayed for by Pastor Rico Almiranez, a Senior Pastor at El Toro for their upcoming NCLEX.

Our first worship service was held at Moss Creek Apartments Clubhouse, on the first Sunday morning of November 2004. It was attended by the following families: Cabico, Busacay, Ilagan, Antipolo, and Almiranez. Afterwards, the worship service venue rotated among the houses of the pioneers until they rented a function room at Days Inn Hotel in Harbor Boulevard.

In July 2005, our group tied up with Pilipino Community Church-Baldwin Park, pastored by Narciso Tecson. On the 25th of that same month, our group now known as the Pilipino Community Church-Fountain Valley, held the Filipino Festival at Shoreline Baptist Church. The event was well attended by fellow Christians from El Toro, PCC-Baldwin and the pioneer members. Rev. Lucita Soriano, a well-known former movie and TV personality in the Philippines, was our guest speaker.

In September 2005, the Shoreline Baptist Church became the home of Pilipino Community Church-Fountain Valley.

In November 2005, our church joined the Purpose-Driven Campaign held in the house of Bro. Melvin and Sis. Jane.

In January 2006, Pastor Tec took over the leadership and continued to lead us through Bible studies and Sunday Worship.

On May 19, 2006, we held our first water baptism where 5 members followed Christ’s example.

In September 2006, our church reorganized and Pastor Rico took over the leadership up to present.
